Why did you choose Baptist?

The interview ended up being one of the most laid back I had during that process, every attending and resident were so down to earth and it was evident they had a great culture.

What is your day like?  Any challenges?  What’s rewarding about your day?

The days can be busy with you feeling like you're being pulled in multiple directions but that's the best part of this program, you're provided adequate support and eventually autonomy to feel prepared for a private practice job down the road.

What is your favorite thing about Memphis?

Shelby Farms, the best park I have ever been to

What made you decide on your career?  Was there someone or something in your life that helped you choose your path?

My older sister was the first in our family to go into medicine, eventually becoming a labor and delivery nurse. She served as my main role model in motivating me to explore a career in medicine. My love for anatomy during medical school and the flexibility provided by the field of radiology ultimately were the deciding factors for this specialty.

Why would you recommend Baptist to a prospective applicant?

Because this program will provide you with adequate training to not only do your job as an attending day one but do it well. There is great support here with graduated autonomy which helps you become comfortable earlier in your training.
