Program Overview

The radiology residency program represents a longstanding relationship between Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis and Mid-South Imaging & Therapeutics (MSIT), P.A.

Each year, the hospitals affiliated with Baptist Memorial Health Care perform approximately 800,000 radiology exams. Also, by linking themselves to one of the largest health care systems and tertiary referral centers in the Mid-South, residents gain early access to advanced imaging modalities and are exposed to diverse pathology.

To help ensure that our residents receive the best possible preparation for the new American Board of Radiology board exam format, we have modified our curriculum to provide earlier exposure in mammography, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, and other areas. We value input from residents as many of our teaching faculty are former residents, and others come from respected programs. Our residents earn respected fellowships in various subspecialties, and our graduates are well-rounded, with a strong work ethic and the ability to handle the demands of both private practice and academic radiology.
