The high volume, autonomy, and lack of fellows provides great training without competition for interesting cases.
The average day is either 8-5 or 7-4. Throughout the day, cases are checked out with attendings. Noon conference during lunch each day.
Memphis has great food with a lot of options for dining out. There are multiple great public golf courses to choose from.
I chose radiology because of the variety. You get to work with physicians in multiple different specialities while reading studies in a variety of modalities.
The opportunity to pick up extra shifts allows you to make extra money while also honing your skills as a radiologist. As a resident at Baptist you will also get access to free food and parking while at work.
