Why did you choose Baptist?

One of the highest volume programs in the country as well as resident autonomy and lack of fellows.

What is your day like?  Any challenges?  What’s rewarding about your day?
DR: Read studies and check out with attendings in morning and afternoon, with daily lectures everyday at noon. Average day is about 8am-4 pm.

IR: Go over inpatient list with attending and NP in the morning. Scrub into cases the rest of the day. Noon lecture. Average day is about 8am-5pm.

What is your favorite thing about Memphis?

Memphis has incredible food, some of the best BBQ in the country. Great public parks--Shelby Farms Park is one of my favorite places to go in Memphis. Grizzlies games are a lot of fun as well.

What made you decide on your career?  Was there someone or something in your life that helped you choose your path?

I wanted a challenging field that allowed me to help others and provide a service to the community.

Why would you recommend Baptist to a prospective applicant?

One of the highest volume programs in the country, with incredible resident autonomy. Wide variety of diagnostic studies and interventional procedures. This program will prepare you very well for a private practice radiology job after training.
