Why did you choose Baptist?

I was drawn to how well-prepared Baptist residents are for both fellowship and private practice. During medical school, I served as an anatomy teaching assistant and discovered how much I enjoy teaching. I knew I wanted to train at a program like Baptist and MSIT, where I would not only receive excellent training but also have the opportunity to teach residents when I become an attending.

What is your day like? Any challenges? What’s rewarding about your day?

Our days vary depending on the rotation. Some rotations are especially demanding, and balancing those with internal moonlighting shifts can be challenging. Even so, I view these experiences as valuable preparation for real-world practice. The most rewarding part of my day is knowing that the hard work now is building the skills I’ll rely on as a future radiologist.

What is your favorite thing about Memphis?

Memphis is home. This city has given me opportunities to grow and pursue my dream of becoming a physician ever since high school. Beyond that, my friends, family, and church community here provide a strong support system that keeps me grounded and motivated.

What made you decide on your career? Was there someone or something in your life that helped you choose your path?

Growing up in my family, I had three choice of either becoming a doctor, engineer or lawyer. So that narrows it down a lot. In medical school, I developed a real love for anatomy, which led me to become an anatomy teaching assistant. Radiology drew me in because of its deep foundation in anatomy and the unique role radiologists play in supporting patients and physicians across so many different specialties.
