Why did you choose Baptist?
I chose Baptist because of the culture. From the start, I felt that the residents and faculty were genuinely supportive of one another. The program offered the right balance of strong training and a collegial, welcoming environment.
What is your day like? Any challenges? What’s rewarding about your day?
A typical day involves a steady mix of reading studies, discussing interesting findings with faculty, and attending noon conferences. The biggest challenge is keeping pace with the wide variety and volume of cases, but it’s also the most rewarding part. You’re constantly learning, and you can see the immediate impact of your work on patient care.
What is your favorite thing about Memphis?

My favorite thing about Memphis is the balance between culture and community. The city offers a rich history, excellent food, and a strong music tradition, but what stands out most is the strong sense of connection and hospitality that makes it a great place to live and train.

What made you decide on your career? Was there someone or something in your life that helped you choose your path?
I decided on radiology because of its central role in patient care and diagnosis. During medical school, I was fortunate to have mentors who showed me how radiology combines problem-solving, pattern recognition, and teamwork with other specialties. That mentorship really shaped my decision to pursue this path.
Why would you recommend Baptist to a prospective applicant?
I would recommend Baptist because it offers excellent clinical training in a truly supportive environment. You’re exposed to a broad spectrum of pathology, have faculty who are approachable and invested in your growth, and train alongside residents who genuinely have each other’s backs.
